In 2009, Tim became the official DJ and technical producer with his first event at J’s place in Brantford. Starting in 2016, Tim had taken over the activities of social media marketing, and website management. Over the past 5 years, the relationship has become an unofficial partnership with Mike as he has increased his involvement including the production, editing, and producing of the weekly TV show on Roger’s TV Cable 20.
I started being involved in the wrestling business in 1997. I was working for a security company and a local wrestling company in Cambridge hired the company to do security for them. I grew up watching wrestling and always loved wrestling so I volunteered. The company was then doing a tour going all the way up to Moose Factory Island. On that tour I did everything. I did security, set up and tore down the ring, and did the music as well. In 1999 I went to a show in Kitchener expecting Ron Hutchison to be there and to speak with him about being trained to wrestle. He wasn't there but the promoter started talking to me and I started training at his school in 1999. I began refereeing when I was training. I then wrestled for a while before being more of a referee pretty regularly. I always tried to help with the promotion side of things to learn that aspect of the business as well.
On August 24, 2002, I promoted my first wrestling event at the Dunnville Fair under the name Ontario Pro Wrestling (OPW). OPW ran in Tillsonburg for the most part and we did a number of fair shows. I continued that untill 2006 when I changed the name to Independent Pro Wrestling (IPW) after unsuccessfully trying to bring some Ontario promotions together to form a bigger promotion.
