1) Primo Scordino def EZE [6 min]
Fast paced match that saw the more experienced Scordino keep EZE on the defensive for most of the bout. EZE did land a couple of his vaunted high dropkicks but missed a flying splash from the top rope. Primo planted EZE with a DDT and scored the winning pin. (Everyone in Italy gets tomorrow off work to attend the victory parade)
2) Jodi D’Milo def Amy Victory [7 min]
Good well paced ‘big girl’ vs ‘little girl’ encounter. Victory has improved tremendously and wrestled a smart match against her larger and stronger foe. D’Milo was tossed around early by Amy’s armdrags and tosses but took control of the pace with a camel clutch. Her attempted butt bump to the back after releasing the hold was met by a kick to the twat. Victory rocked a stunned Jodi with a 2nd rope dropkick. She continued the attack with a running clothesline, a running double ax blow to the chest and a dropkick. A suplex and bridge failed to bring her the pin though and D’Milo took over with a devastating Samoan drop followed by a bodyslam and her feared D’Milo Bomb that left Victory easy pickings for the pin.
One of Victory’s best matches to date.
Last Call With Jay Moore:
The lounge lizard manager decided to show up this time and came with his bottle of Jack Daniels. Moore called out the participants of the main event, Nick Paradise and Pepper Parks (whom Moore introduced as Preston Wyatt Parks) Both guys were dressed in street clothes – Parks was way better dressed. Parks ended up attacking Paradise but was quick to bail with Moore when Nick began getting the upper hand. A surprisingly short Jay Moore segment… only 7 minutes.
3) “Asian Nightmare” Kwan Chang def HC Loc [9 min]
Pretty much just a brawl consisting of mostly strikes & high impact offensive moves. Spilled outside the ropes a couple of times as the advantage switched back and forth. The end came when Ref Renda got squashed between a charging Loc and a cowering Kwan. Loc planted Kwan but the ref was out. When HC went to check on him Kwan grabbed his trusty kendo stick and rammed it into Loc’s throat. The ref was conscious enough to count Kwan’s pin.
-Intermission: [20 min]
Pizza, beer… the usual indy stuff. Wrestlers greeting fans included Amy Victory, Primo Scordino, EZE, “Go Time” Chris Laplante, “The Sport” Jessy Jones and “Big Ticket” Reggie Marley
4) Special Challenge Match: [11 min]
Troy “The Boy” Buchanan & “Handsome” Rex Atkins def James Masterson & Referee Keith Chambers [11 min]
Masterson arrived with no partner. Buchanan said he’d already beaten Masterson 73 times in the last 2 years and suggested that referee Keith Chambers team with James since no one esle would. Ref Turnip came out to officiate the match. Chambers wrestled the whole match in his ref’s shirt and took the extended beatdown from Atkins & Buchana. Masterson eventually made the lukewarm tag but was pinned by Buchanan as Atkins clotheslined Chambers over the top. After the match the bad guys beat on Masterson until Nick Paradise ran out to make the save.
5) The Unholy Ryot def Ice [10 min] Ice had his hands full trying to deal with the face-painted Ryot but managed to keep the match pretty even. Ryot won after being clotheslined over the top and scooting under the ring. Ice didn’t know where Ryot was and the Unholy one was able to climb out from under the ring behind Ice, enter and get the pin after a chokeslam. After the match Kwan Chang attacked Ryot with a kendo stick but Ryot shrugged off the blows and disarmed the “Asian Nightmare”. IPW promoter Mike O’Shea, referees and a couple wrestlers rushed into the ring to seperate the brawling monsters.
6) Main Event:
Nick Paradise def Pepper Parks w/ “Infamous” Jay Moore [12 min]
Paradise seemed to have a slight advantage in power but Parks was the superior mat wrestler. The action spilled in and out of the ring a couple times. Moore stayed out of most of it until the end when he screwed up and grabbed Park’s leg instead of Nick’s during an attempted trip. As Parks argued with his inept manager Paradise rolled him up for the win.
